1. Take charge of your relationship.

Two wrongs never make a right. The fact that your partner is being difficult doesn’t mean you should act out too.

You should be the mature one in your relationship in other for it to work. Be the person who possesses the positive trait and with time your positive characteristics will rub off on your difficult partner.  

2. Communication.

The key to a healthy relationship is good communication. You need to create an environment where both of you can discuss everything about your relationship openly without holding back.

You can talk about the negative behaviors that bother you. Communicate your worries and express your objections about him being difficult and come to a positive conclusion that would help your relationship.
