1. Know the reason your partner is jealous.

Also, evaluate yourself. You might have done something to trigger emotions of insecurity. If so try to make adjustments on your side and talk to him and if you both really love one another you would look for ways to resolve the issue.

The reason why a lot of healthy relationships survive is because of boundary settings. There is absolutely nothing wrong with setting boundaries in your relationship.

These boundaries will create a guideline, so each party knows where their personal emotions lie and what’s important to each other. Know your likes and dislikes, what you are comfortable with and what scares you, also how you would want your partner to treat you in some situations.

3. Cultivate an environment of Trust.

If you want to kick out jealousy from your relationship you need your partner need to trust each other and the only way you can achieve this is by telling one another the truth.

You have to be faithful, honest and committed. Trustworthy people don’t lie about who they are with or where they are. Let the foundation of your relationship be trust, only then would you be able to take out jealousy.

4. Try to understand them.

Understanding your partner when they are acting jealous might be really difficult. Nevertheless, you have to try your best. Listen to them express how they feel or felt about a certain issue that made them uncomfortable.

And be understanding of their feeling because regardless of how stupid they might sound to you at that present moment, their emotions are valid.

When they are done talking reassure them that you would not hurt them in the way they were probably hurt before and then explain your side of the story if you have to. But you need to be tough about it.

5. Help them overcome their insecurities.

Jealousy is often caused by insecurities, that feeling that your partner may leave you for someone better or the feeling of not being good enough for them.
