Its been two weeks now since Babs has been in the hospital and just yesterday he finally opened his eyes and here is what he had to say for himself:
Rony is not relatively new to me, I met her at a party just before my final exams in school, we had fun, I liked her and that was it. What I didn’t know is that growing up men had used her and taken advantage of her situation and she had determined to always be in charge and take control.
So when I met her again I didn’t recognize her but she recognized me and was willing to be with me but this time it was to be in charge of the narratives.
A few weeks into the relationship she started to show symptoms of abuse, I wanted to opt-out but she threatened to kill herself and right a note that says it was my fault.
The emotional torture began first. I was rarely permitted to go anyplace on my own. She’d also threaten to damage any future girlfriends I had in such a way that I’d refuse to be with her.
I’m not sure what drives her at times; one day she raced into her apartment, got a knife, and attacked me with it as soon as I stepped in. She then seized my testicles and twisted them as tightly as she could without letting go.
It was agonizingly painful. I’m still not sure what triggered her outburst. She could go from lovely to mean in an instant.
The slap you witnessed is the nicest she can be when she is upset, whenever she is upset it’s like someone possesses her and when she is calm she is a whole different person sweet and the smartest of all.
At this point Babs had already started to cry, he felt so ashamed of himself, first because as a man he believes this should never be heard of but the reality it is true but never spoken of.
While we tried to console Babs the nurse came in and told us it was time to leave him be to rest and continue his treatment.
