Shaving your pubic hair is a personal choice you would make. You can either decide to shave or leave your pubic hair. Shaving your pubic hair or not doesn’t mean you are clean or dirty, it simply means, YOU!!!
Whatever choice you make, make sure it’s best for your personal health. For example, don’t shave before sex. Instead, shave a few days before sex to give that area time to relax to avoid irritation.
That part of your skin is more sensitive and prone to ingrown hard right after you shave, so any traction firing sex could irritate.

Also, try not to wear tight clothes or anything that can rub against your skin right after shaving this could cause irritations or even bumps and we don’t want that.
Not to say that there are no downsides to shaving. Using a sharp razor, you could cut yourself in the process of shaving, and let’s not forget the regrowth.
After shaving your hair grows back after a few days and when it does it can be prickly or itchy, which will leave you feeling discomforted.
When the hair that tries to grow back gets trapped under the skin, it could lead to redness, pain and tiny bumps in that area.
For those above reasons, I would advise you to wax or use depilatories (creams or lotion hair remover) on your pubic hair.
Keeping your pubic hair serves its own purposes such as:
● Pubic hairs provide protection against friction that causes skin irritation in that sensitive area.
● it reduces the amount of sweat produced around the vagina.
● it helps the vagina block out the following bacteria and infections
I. Sexually transmitted diseases
II. Urinary tract infections
III. Yeast infections
Note that there are no health benefits to removing your pubic hair, so you choose what feels right for you.
