In a world where Social media has become the place where both the young and the old live, there we find different kinds of people with different personalities on each platform.

On all platforms you will find;
- The ones who are Passive in every social platform they can be found, they only read and watch videos, they never comment and neither do they post.
- We also have the Semi-passive ones, these set post once in a while, like once 3 months or twice in a year, they are very careful what they post, the number of years they’ve been on social media is not equivalent to the number of post or comments they make.
- Then we have the super Active participants, they are the life of all the social media platform you can find, the number of pictures, videos, comments they post you sometimes wonder if all they do with their time is being on social media because of the level of work and intentionality they put into the things they post.
- In this group is where we find people who are on the platform to sell their brands, the social media influencers, the content creators and those who just do it for the fun of it
- The last but definitely not the least set of people we find on social media is the Trolls, you can also refer to them as the online bullies the only thing that gives them joy is to make nasty comments and pull others down. They even go as far as posting derogatory videos of the said person they are after.
Now that we have a basic understanding or idea of the type of people on social media and where you belong in the list provided above.
One thing we must constantly put in mind irrespective of the kind of personality we display online is that the internet never forgets and whether it’s now or sometime in the future the internet never forgets.
The fact you have the right to post and upload anything and everything you want doesn’t make it okay to do so not just for the people involved but also for the future.
Everyone has a right to their opinion but if you are looking to do something great in the future that involves global recognition, this kind of thing more often requires a background check.
The question then is what is going to be found about you, are the things worthy of emulation that your future self will be proud of.
The internet is a place for opportunities and a platform for you to brand yourself as an individual, as a company, an entrepreneur, a career person or whatever it is you do.
So be intentional, purposeful about your actions, you want to be sure you are leaving behind a digital footprint that is worthy of emulation.
Remember everything you do and enjoy has a price, whether you like it or not, you will pay for what you buy and the internet is one of the places you can never go free, the internet never forgives or forget, so while enjoying yourself thread carefully because the Internet never forgets.
