Ovulation usually happens about halfway through your menstrual cycle, about 14 days before the first day of your next period, but the exact time can vary.

Although signs that you are about to ovulate can be subtle, there are some things that can point you in the right direction.

7 Signs of Ovulation

1. High sex drive: Have you and your partner been more affectionate, even passionate? When you and your partner are in love like this, there’s more energy between you. You hold each other closer. You’re not as self-conscious because there’s less distance between you.

2. Rise in body temperature: As you near ovulation, the temperature of your body begins to rise — possibly a sign that you’re nearing that big day.

One of the first signs of ovulation is a change in body temperature. Shocks and hormonal changes cause the skin on your body to feel flattered and generally look better than it did before your period began.

3. Belly Cramps: The first and most reliable sign is a change in mood or behaviour. Your mood could be light, relaxed, or even jolly. Cramps in your stomach or other such feelings are also common.

Do pre- ovulate signs exist? Yes. Signs that your body is starting to prepare for pregnancy can include a light building (again, this varies from person to person), a longer period between contractions (sometimes referred to as waking up early), increased abdominal tenderness, and changes in menstrual flow

The exact timing of these events isn’t completely clear-cut, but there’s a decent chance that you’re ovulating within a week or two of taking your first physical inside a health care provider.

4. Breast tenderness: Are you noticing changes in your body? Is there a distinct pattern to how you feel when you ovulate? If you are like most people, the answer is a resounding yes.

Ovulation signals the beginning of a period of increased hormones that can push your body into different states.

What does this have to do with your wardrobe? Everything! If you take the time to better understand the signs of ovulation in women, you will be able to make better preparations for giving birth. Breast tenderness starts around the time your period arrives.

This tenderness usually disappears around day 7 or 8 after your period begins, although it can be present as far as 14 days after your period begins.

5. A menstrual period is a time of bodily changes that happens when a woman starts her period. At first, you just think it’s your imagination. Then your period begins and suddenly you’re aware that your period is beginning.

This is a time when you start to notice changes in your taste and smell. You notice apples and honey more than usual. It also becomes clear that there are more men in your life showing signs of being fertilized than there used to be.

6. Ovulation calculator and kits: This is available online to help your predict the ovulation period.

7. Around the time of ovulation, you may notice your secretion is clear, stretchy and slippery — similar to egg whites.
