What are mink lashes?
Mink lashes are lash extensions that give your eyelashes more volume and shape by using genuine strands of mink fur. For those who are unfamiliar, a mink is a semiaquatic mammal that is native to North America and Eurasia and has dark brown or black fur. With a long, slender body and short legs, it resembles a ferret.

Types of mink lashes
-Real Mink fur which can also be called the Actual mink fur is used to create these lashes. They are renowned for their airy, organic appearance and feel. Real animal fur may raise ethical issues for some people, though.
-Faux mink lashes, often known as “silk lashes,” imitate the appearance and feel of real mink fur by using synthetic materials. A less expensive and cruelty-free option are faux mink eyelashes.
-Real mink lashes from Siberian minks, which are prized for having fine fur, were used to make these Siberian mink lashes. They are frequently regarded as some of the best mink lashes on the market.
-Korean Silk Mink Lashes: These synthetic mink lashes mimic the natural look and feel of real mink fur. They frequently cost less than genuine mink lashes.
-Mink Eyelash Extensions: These are individual lash extensions that are either made of real or fake mink. A specialist applies them one by one to your natural lashes to give you a more durable, natural-looking appearance.
Uses of Mink lashes
Environmentally responsible
Mink lashes are regarded as biodegradable because they are created from a natural material. Silk, synthetic materials, and imitation mink are made of petroleum. Not every petroleum product in the world takes up a lot of room in our landfills. But everyone should play their part, no matter how small—pick mink!
Volume & Weightlessness
Despite appearing thin, mink fur is actually quite dense. You can have more volume without adding weight because mink lashes are three times lighter than synthetic ones. Your eyelashes don’t need a workout, so choose mink!
Durability
Mink fur is incredibly long-lasting, with a 30-year lifespan. As a result, mink lashes are durable and can be used repeatedly. You can get up to 25 wears out of your eyelashes if you take good care of them. In contrast to synthetics, this has just 1-3 uses.
No chemicals or dyes
There is no need to color mink lashes because black minks are used in the manufacturing process, giving them a rich black color. There is no need to use any chemicals to make them appear glossier because the fur is also naturally shiny. For the sake of the health of your eyes, avoid those chemically coloured eyelashes; you only get two!
Where does mink lashes get from?
Mink fur manufacturers who sell fake eyelashes label their goods with comforting terms like “ethically sourced,” “free-range,” and “cruelty-free.” However, those labels only have one goal, which is to deceive people, just like with meat.
Minks cannot be raised “free-range.” They would fight if forced to share a limited space since they are territorial, isolated animals that turn aggressive when they feel threatened.
Instead, they are kept separately in claustrophobic wire cages on fur farms, where they are frequently denied even the most basic necessities like food, water, and medical attention.
They are also forbidden from taking a bath, swimming, burrowing, or engaging in any other activity that is natural or significant to them.
