Next is to make your choices and let go of the things that are no longer good enough for you. Ask yourself questions like; Does this fit?

Do I feel comfortable in this? Have I worn this in the last 6 months? If the answer is no, then it’s time to assign the item to be donated, recycled or resell pile.

When you are done taking out the unwanted or unneeded items, it is then time to get organized. Put your clothes together in segments this will help you maximise space and stay on track.

Get creative with the things you already have in your wardrobe. Learn the art of layering or combining so that what looks old or what people had seen you on over and again can appear new and unique.

Be your tailor, let out that creative tailoring juice. You see that old long skirt you still got in your wardrobe, go pick up scissors and cut it down, pick up that old piece of flower from an old dress or button from that turn jeans and redesign that your favourite blazers. Get to work revamping with what you’ve got.

Invest in neutral wear that can easily flow with anything. Although still very much advisable to go for the trendy items every once in a while, building a strong foundation of neutrals will go a long way.

Try wearing your combo outfits differently. Don’t feel limited wearing them exactly how they came, you would be surprised by how much more you can get out of your wardrobe simply by thinking outside of the box.

Get inspiration from social media pages like Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest e.t.c on new ways you can style things like a white tee, a statement skirt, or even those pants you can’t seem to get rid of.

When you get the chance to visit the shopping mall, don’t go shopping for items based on the now remember to keep your eyes and mind on the future. Don’t buy for just an occasion.

If you are one of those who keep great stylish friends then look no further because another great way of keeping your wardrobe feeling fresh is to swap pieces with friends.

Finally do not underestimate the power of a compelling shoe or accessory. You might think your dress or tee shirt and jeans look too plain until you throw in a beautiful shoe or necklace giving it a nice and credible statement.
