What is a single eye?
A single eye is a phrase commonly used to refer to focus, or where attention is geared towards.
So one can say I have a single eye for content creation, that is to say, my focus is mostly always on creating content.
Focus
What is the focus?
According to the Meriam Webster dictionary focus is a centre of activity, attraction, or attention or a point of concentration.
Mastering the act of focus can be really difficult. A lot of us need to learn how to improve our focus and boost concentration.
Having a single eye for something seems impossible and that’s because we live in a noisy world and constant distractions are a big challenge for most of us.
So in order to concentrate on one thing you must, by default ignore many other things. Having a single eye requires you to centre, concentrate your attention and energy, take away distractions and all sorts causing you to be focused on a single task.
This simply translates to you putting all your energy together to build a single thing to success.
The advantage of having a single eye is it gives you an avenue to build with all it takes. The problem with building with divided attention is that you can build but not with tenacity and grit.
The power of the single eye is
- focus
- Attention to details
- it builds to last
- Results are easily captured/ obvious/ seen
- Results are authentic
- Results are relatable
- Results are replicable
So this week I challenge you to go out there like a laser beam to be single-eyed on your goals, one day at a time, one moment at a time.
