It’s amazing the number of women that have recently delved into the world of sports betting, a report from research conducted by The HPL Digital Sport shows that 28% increase rate in the participation of women bettors in 2020, but the number has increased by 33%, according to new data released in “2021 by State of the Sports Betting Industry.”
The question of the gender inequality issue plaguing women is still very much present in sports gambling, but there has been a continuous and rigid increase in a trend that has made more room for female bettors in the sports betting industry.
Although a high number of bettors falls in the favour of men we can still say significantly that there is a good increase in the number of female bettors.
Research has not only shown that there is a good number of women diving into the sports betting industry but it shows that women have a great advantage in their betting game.
The research shows that women are more successful in betting than men. A sports betting platform located in New Jersey also did a study and their study shows that a good number of women returned after their first trial.
This means that there was a 19.79 per cent increase in the bets they played which is what informed their return, unlike men who barely got increase by 4.6 per cent.
These findings then beg the question of what exactly do female bettors bet on or how do they go about their betting process, there have been rumours as to what was bet on and how the bets happened but no concrete answer, we are led to conclude that female bettors spend more time betting on female games.
Because of the level of result yielded by female bettors SBC Americas Vice President Sue Schneider, Erika Nardini, CEO of Barstool Sports, in an interview in 2020 said,
“There’s no reason that you can’t ignite betting amongst women, but you have to do it the right way. It has to be compelling and honest.
Like Erika Nardini rightly there is no reason you not to venture into betting yourself seeing that women doing it have made it their mission, why not go succeed too.
