What is Fiverr?
Fiverr is an online platform, the marketplace where you as a freelancer can put up an advert on what you do, that is the service you render, how it works, how you can be reached and most importantly to invite or entice people to work with you or hire your services.
How do Fiverr works?
To understand how Fiverr works you must first know that there are two types of people;
The Buyers: These are the set of people who needs services rendered to them, so they show up looking through profiles, service history and all other available credentials that help them make an adequate hiring decision.
The Sellers: These set of users are majorly freelancers, they are also the talents, the ones who possess skills in a particular area and they are willing to share it with the rest of the world by rendering their services.
As a seller, you are allowed to list as many services as you are capable of rendering but the rate at which you are hired is mostly dependent on the amount of experience you have gathered overtime on the job or in that industry.
Where you fall between these two (2) categories depends greatly on how you approach the usage of Fiverr. Because this article is about earning, we will therefore focus on the Sellers (Service provider)
As a service provider looking to go on Fiverr to earn extra cash, here is a list of what you must do;
- Register on Fiverr
- Setup a compelling and attractive profile
- Create your gig; provide information on the services you render so you can send this to prospective buyers.
- Create your prize list, negotiable or non-negotiable as you please.
- Sit, relax and wait for potential buyers to look through your profile and reach out to you or be proactive and reach out to them first.
Remember that your selling point is your profile, be intentional about it and do not hesitate to talk about your strength and while at it for every gig you get try and overachieve.
