Pregnancy comes with many downsides. From an enlarged nose, swollen limbs and, worst of all, vomiting and nausea. All of these are normal signs of pregnancy.
While we can admit that vomiting all through the morning is not exactly fun or bearable, there is some good news to help you condone the vomiting better. According to studies, women who have nausea and vomit a lot during their first trimester may have a lower risk of miscarriage than women who do not.
That is good news. However, that does not mean that someone who has never had nausea will have a miscarriage. Please do not get your facts muddled up.
Now that we know that vomiting during pregnancy is not a bad thing, let us get down to the reason why it happens at all;
Why do women vomit during pregnancy?
According to research, vomiting during pregnancy is due to high levels of a hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, known as HCG. Pregnant women produce this hormone as a fertilized egg attaches itself to the lining of the uterus. The more HCG you have, the more vomit you are likely to expel. It is fascinating how the human body works.
