We all want that flawless beautiful skin. Great skin is not something that you are born with or something that happens overnight but it’s a matter of your daily routine, what you apply on your skin etc this reflects on what you see.

The aim of any skincare activity is to give you healthy skin and also tune up your complexion so it’s at its best, and work areas of your skin that need changes.

What causes unhealthy skin?

There are lots of factors that cause unhealthy skin, it’s up to you to be careful and observant so as to get the flawless skin you desire.

Few tips on how you could care for your skin

I would like to establish the fact that daytime beauty routine is almost the same as night routine. In the morning your major beauty routine should be all about protecting your skin from the sun, pollution, and other things that are harmful to your skin.

While for nighttime because your skin naturally repairs itself at night, your nighttime routine would be about treating your skin and giving it the necessary vitamins it needs.

This is what your daily Skin care routine should look like.

Cleanser: (Morning and Night)

You want to start your morning routine by first washing your face with a gentle face cleanser for your skin type.

Due to the fact that your skin has been exposed to so much pollution during the day, you might want to try double cleansing to get rid of the day’s grime, dirt, oil, and Makeup.

Toner: (Morning and Night)

Most people skip toning their skin because they really don’t understand the use of toner. Toner removes any last traces of dirt and impurities stuck in your pores after you wash your face.

It comes in a water-based liquid form that may be infused with skin-soothing ingredients like aloe, peppermint, etc.

Toning is good for balancing your skin. Apart from the fact that toning shrinks large pores on your skin it also adds a layer of protection.

It reduces the penetration of impurities and environmental containment into your skin. You should soak a cotton ball with the toner and gently sweep it across your skin after cleansing every morning and before bed at night.

Antioxidants Serum: (Morning and Night)

This is a must for your skincare regime. They protect your skin and reduces pigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles. They promote a brighter and more even complexion for your skin.

They are anti-aging skin antidotes. Face serums are lightweight products that contain a high concentration of active ingredients. They absorb quickly into your skin.

They should be applied on a clean, dry face after your face toner. All you need are two to three drops, which you want to pat not rub into your skin. Then let it absorb for 10 minutes, before applying your moisturizer.

Moisturizer: (Morning and Night)

Moisturizing reduces the chances of you having skin-related issues, it also reduces the appearance of blemishes on your skin. Continuous moisturizing helps you stay young and healthy.

Sunscreen: (Morning)

One daily routine you don’t want to miss is wearing sunscreen on your skin but unfortunately, most of us forget to do that and it is medically advised.

Using a sunscreen product will shield your skin from harmful UV rays (especially in countries with high sun rays). It prevents sunburn and also lowers your risk of skin cancer.

Exfoliate: (Night)

Exfoliating removes dead skin cells on the surface of your skin, allowing your nighttime product to sink in deeper and work better because it helps prepare your skin for the natural replacement cycle that happens every night.

When you notice your skin is dry and looking unhealthy, its advisable you exfoliate for a fresher

Whatever products you decide to use should be based on your skin type. It is always advisable to use water-based products if you have oily skin and for dry skin use oil-based products.

If you can incorporate these regimes into your daily routine you would experience or rather see a change in your skin over time. Remember to always keep your skincare routine simple and always listen to your skin.

You should know what products can be used for your type of skin, it’s advisable to visit a dermatologist for assistance.
