Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) is a universal divine Kingdom founded and established by Leader Olumba 0lumba Obu.
From humble beginnings in rural South East Nigeria, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has grown like the proverbial mustard seed into a worldwide phenomenon with branches in different parts of the world.
Brotherhood of the Cross and Star increased, and this growth is attributed to the teachings of love demonstrated by the founder of BCS, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.

Founder of the Olumba Olumba
Olumba Olumba Obu (1918-2003) was a Nigerian religious leader who proclaimed himself God in human form. He was the founder of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, an organization described as a new religion.
In 1956, the first bethel (place of worship) was established in a rented thatched apartment at No. 8 Eton Street, Calabar, part of the former Eastern Region, now Cross River State.
Through the exemplary lifestyle and unique teachings of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star demonstrates universal love in theory and practice.
Present Leader of the Olumba Olumba
In 2000, Olumba was said to have transferred leadership of the BCS organization to his eldest son, also named Olumba Olumba Obu, but known as Rowland. It is widely reported that Olumba Olumba Obu died in 2003, although many of his followers believed he was immortal and still alive.
DOCTRINES OF BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR
Central belief: Love towards other men.
God: God is bio-spiritually interconnected with all things in nature, male and female, and good and evil.
Jesus: Jesus did not have time to communicate his beliefs before the crucifixion fully, and Obu’s role has been to explain, expand upon, and add to his teaching.
This is why a part of Brotherhood teaching has no counterpart in the Old or New Testament. His son, Rowland, continues to add to the teachings. BCS followers suggest that Obu’s achievements exceed those of Jesus.\
Reincarnation: BCS members practice vegetarianism and veganism because of a belief in the transmigration of souls between humans and animals.
Meditation: This is a widespread practice among the members of the Brotherhood. The members spend hours in isolation, meditating_ in what is seen as a spiritual exercise of communicating with God. During the meditation, members of the Brotherhood any form of distraction and disturbance as they meditate.
Medicine: The BCS members do not believe in medicine of any form.
