Post pills; also called ‘ Morning After pills’. First, we hope you know post pills do not prevent STDs, despite using post pills, and birth control pills, using condoms is one of the best options. please do not shave your private part just before that ‘knacks’.

Post pills are emergency contraceptives, they should be taken immediately after sex or within a few days. The earlier they are taken, the more effective they are.

What post pills do is prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation, that is, delay the release of the eggs from the ovary. If already pregnant, morning-after pills do not end a pregnancy.
The post pills fail;
• When one has another unprotected sex after taking it, it does not have lasting protection from pregnancy.
• If you started ovulating before taking the pill,
• If you are taking a drug that interacts with the pill, e.g, antibiotics like rifampin. Treatment.
Epilepsy and heartburn may also reduce the effectiveness of post-pills. Some women may experience nausea, abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, dizziness, menstrual changes and maybe breast tenderness which does not last for more than a few days.

Post pills can be gotten over the counter without a prescription, unlike birth control pills which you have to discuss with your doctor.
We are saying post-pills do not have serious side effects on your body. Most of the side effects listed above occur in a few women though menstrual changes are very common.
If one is sexually violated, your condom broke, or birth control fails, it is advisable to get a post-pill. It should be the first thing on your mind.
